International Day of Potato Webinar – From Research to Field: Sustainable Solutions for Potato Health

From Research to Field: Sustainable Solutions for Potato Health is a joint online webinar organised in the context of the International Day of Potato 2026. The event brings together six EU-funded projects: POMATO, IPMorama, NEM-EMERGE, PataFEST, CROPSAFE, and SAGROPIA , to showcase complementary research and innovation approaches that support healthier potato crops and more sustainable crop protection practices.

Through a series of short project presentations, a moderated discussion, and an interactive audience Q&A session, participants will explore current challenges in potato health, emerging solutions for pest and disease management, and pathways for translating research results into practical applications in the field.

The webinar will also create space for dialogue around barriers to adoption, opportunities for collaboration, and ways in which EU-funded initiatives can increase their collective impact across the agricultural sector.

The event is relevant for farmers, advisors, researchers, breeders, industry representatives, policymakers, and all stakeholders interested in sustainable potato production and plant health.
